I did not have a good experience at this place. First of all we were seated in the back room even though we arrived early (open at 4:30, we arrived at 4:25). In the front room there were 10 or more empty tables. Every person of color was directed to the back room.Why is this still happening today? The food was okay. The buffet had enough food for all customers to enjoy. The one bright spot for me was our waitress. She kept our drinks filled. She was bright and friendly . I will not be going back nor will I recommend this place to any of my friends.

Have ate here Sunday buffet for years, the buffet and desserts have always been wonderful and Janet has always been great. I've heard under new management so may need to check it out, haven't been since first of year. And people saying racist ?? I don't see how, you go in and seat yourself, sit where you like. We have always choice the back due to usually 8-10 in our family eating. Personally I have never eat anything but good wonderful food here. And nice people. Yes it does get crowded but what do you expect if the food is good..

We have been eating at Taylor's Place for years. The last time we are there was in December, everything was as advertised, delicious as always. We went last night, and lots had changed, for the worse. Fried oysters are no longer in the buffet, they come "as an extra charge", they don't keep as much shrimp on the buffet, and everything was rationed. The buffet was never full and certain items never were refilled. I also learned that ownership had recently changed. Should've known something was up when we arrived, the place was less than half full on a Saturday night. Used to it was hard to get a seat in the place. TL;DR: Oysters not on buffet anymore, poor selection, wont keep enough food out to meet demand, same price. Won't be back.

Bait & Switch is what comes to mind when I think of Taylor's. We had the buffet and they were out of boiled shrimp, steak, ranch dressing, and took forever to get fish back on the buffet. I understand that restaurants run out of things but it would have been nice to let us know that on the front end or offered a discount since we did not get what was advertised for $18.99.
